Annika Dalbratt is originally from San Diego, California where she trained under Taeko Nishino, artistic director of Chula Vista Ballet. At the age of twelve Annika moved to Washington D.C. to train at Kirov Academy of Ballet on scholarship. For her high school years, she was a student at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School in their Pre-Professional program. Annika has attended the Japan Grand Prix International Ballet Competition where she was a finalist in 2016. She has attended summer intensives on scholarship at Kirov Academy in Washington D.C., The Harid Conservatory, and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School. Some of the roles Annika has performed are Swanhilda from Coppélia, Aurora from The Sleeping Beauty, Esmeralda from La Esmeralda, Odette/Odile from Swan Lake, and the lead dancer from Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School’s Tarantella. The 2017/18 season will be her first season as an apprentice with Ballet Idaho.
