Naomi Rux grew up in Portland, Oregon, and has been dancing since she was three years old. She has been invited on scholarship to summer programs at The Harid Conservatory and Boca Ballet Theatre where she danced in Balanchine’s Serenade in the Russian Girl Corps. She also attended Ballet West’s summer program and was asked to be a trainee, where she had the opportunity to perform alongside many great stars of ballet in Youth America Grand Prix’s “Night of Shining Stars” gala. She was also asked to perform in New York and received top 12 scores for three variations. On returning to Portland for a year, Rux had the opportunity to perform in Les Sylphideés and Who Cares? as well as in works by John Clifford and Tom Gold. Naomi Rux joins Ballet Idaho as an apprentice for the 2017/18 season.
