Biography

Shane was born and raised in Albany, New York. At the age of four he began his ballet training at the School of the Albany Berkshire Ballet, where he continued to train for many years. Shane has attended summer courses at the Walnut Hill School, as well as the Pacific Northwest Ballet School. Upon graduating high school, Shane attended the University of Missouri at Kansas City’s Conservatory of Music and Dance. While a student there, he danced featured and leading roles in ballets choreographed by Paula Weber and Peter Anastos.

In 2014, Shane joined Kansas City Ballet as a member of their Second Company. There he danced corps roles in Septime Webre’s ALICE (in wonderland), Todd Bolender’s The Nutcracker, Devon Carney’s Giselle, as well as works created by Second Company Manager, Anthony Krutzkamp. The 17/18 season will be Shane’s third season with Ballet Idaho.
