Tea for TutusEvery year, Friends of Ballet Idaho hosts Tea for Tutus, a special afternoon dress-up occasion and a perfect opportunity to introduce youngsters and the young at heart to the art form of ballet and the Academy dancers. This event is an annual fundraiser for our Educational Outreach programs and scholarships to the Academy of Dance. It’s a light-hearted afternoon of dress-up delight, tasty finger food and Academy student performances that guarantees to be fun and memorable for both children and adults. Craft activities include wand and crown making that are featured in the live-cam dress-parade as part of our program. Area bakeries provide extraordinary and creatively decorated cakes themed on story ballets that are auctioned off for dessert! Our 2008 event was sponsored by KeyBank Many thanks to Paula Shaver who chaired the 2008 festivities held at The Grove Hotel, February 23, 2008. Special thanks go to our donors, table captains and volunteers for helping to make the afternoon a huge success: Donated Cakes for Auction
