About:

Amanda Wiley began her ballet training in her hometown of Wichita, KS. Amanda attended the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music as a scholarship student in 1992. She went on to train and perform with the Cleveland Ballet. Throughout her professional career, Amanda has performed with Bowen McCauley Dance, Ballet Theatre of New  Mexico, and Northwest Florida Ballet. She has worked with several modern and contemporary choreographers including Trey McIntyre, James Truitte, Alex Ossadnik, and Juan Carlos Rincones. She has choreographed several works for ballet companies including the Northwest Florida Ballet, Missouri River Dance Company in Great Falls, MT,  Ballet Theatre of New Mexico, and St Mary’s College in Southern Maryland. Amanda has her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training and her Level I Certification from Progressing Ballet Technique. Before moving to Boise, she was teaching at the Northwest Florida Ballet Academie, a public performing arts school in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. She worked with students from 3rd grade through the pre-professional high school program, as well as taught company classes, and was a rehearsal assistant. She is excited to settle down in Boise and be a part of the Ballet Idaho family.
