Charlotte Evans
Ballet Idaho Faculty
About:
Charlotte, a North Carolina native, began dancing at the age of 4 at City Ballet Raleigh and
furthered her training at the Nutmeg Ballet Conservatory and the University of North Carolina
School of the Arts, where she graduated high school with a diploma concentrated in ballet. She has
passed exams with honors in the Cecchetti and ABT methods of classical
ballet, and she has a background in the Vaganova method. She has attended summer intensives
with the Cecchetti Council of America, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Houston Ballet, Boston Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Louisville Ballet, and Sarasota Ballet. As a student, Charlotte has performed notably as Clara and Tea Soloist in The Nutcracker, Swanhilda in Coppelia, and the Ballerina variation from Etudes.
Charlotte has been interested in teaching beginning ballet students since she was quite young and
has served as a teaching assistant at ballet schools in North Carolina and Connecticut. She has
introduced young dancers to creative movement and has worked with preschool and kindergarten-aged pre-ballet students both in person and via virtual classes during the pandemic.
In 2022 Charlotte joined Ballet Idaho as a trainee and is excited about teaching in the Children’s Division.
