What: TMP Dance for Parkinson’s – Fall Session
When: Monday, September 15, 2014 – November 24, 2014
Where: Ballet Idaho, 501 S 8th Street Boise, Idaho 83702

On Monday, September 15th, 2014, Trey McIntyre Project launches a new initiative in its groundbreaking exploration of the healing power of dance. Current Ballet Idaho dancer, Elizabeth Keller, is the TMP Dance for Parkinson’s head. The program is based on the 2001 Dance for PD method designed by the Mark Morris Dance Group and Brooklyn Parkinson’s Group, and Keller has trained extensively in their methods.

An eleven-week series of classes that uses dance, live music, and community to develop artistry and grace while addressing such PD-specific concerns as balance, flexibility, coordination, gait, isolation, and depression.

Working with professional dancers trained in the Dance for PD method, participants are inspired to explore movement and music in ways that are refreshing, enjoyable, and stimulating. The essence of dance is joy!

Come dance with Elizabeth Keller and enjoy live accompaniment in Ballet Idaho’s studio.

Whether seated or standing, people with Parkinson’s disease, caregivers, and friends will enjoy this creative and welcoming environment in addition to great live music. Visit treymcintyre.com/danceforpd for more information.
