Ashley Baker
Soloist

Ashley began her ballet training at Johansen Olympia Dance Center in Olympia, Washington. At age 14, she moved to Seattle to continue her training at Pacific Northwest Ballet School (PNB). She studied from 2015-2017 in the Professional Division at PNB, where she performed corps roles such as Snow, Flowers, and Hot Chocolate in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker. She has attended summer intensives at American Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet School, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, BalletMet, and Oregon Ballet Theatre. Since joining Ballet Idaho, Ashley has performed featured and corps roles in Peter Anastos’ The Nutcracker (Dew Drop, Spanish), Raymonda’s Wedding, and Swan Lake (Pas de Trois, Neapolitan), Edwaard Liang’s Cinderella(Stepsister, Winter), George Balanchine’s AgonAllegro Brillante, and Serenade, and Lar Lubovitch’s Something About Night, in addition to works choreographed by Ballet Idaho company members and guest choreographers. Ashley performed as a company member with ARC Dance Company in Seattle, under the direction of Marie Chong, for the 2022 summer season. She has choreographed two pieces for Ballet Idaho: The Known Ecliptic (2020) and Six Figures (2021), as well as works for students of Ballet Idaho and Olympia Dance Center. 

This is Ashley’s sixth season with Ballet Idaho.
