Ballet Idaho will for the first time perform Danielle Rowe’s For Pixie and will delve into the creative process of The Animals along with that of Craig Davidson’s Ghost(Light) (world premiere created for Ballet Idaho, 2020).
Originally to be premiered by Ballet Idaho in May of 2020, this ballet has persevered through cancellations and quarantines to finally be brought to life on the screen. Set in the 1960s, this family dinner of endearing animals will explore both the quirky conflicts and charming connections between characters who love each other despite their differences.
A work choreographed remotely on Ballet Idaho dancers all the way from Zürich, Switzerland, this ballet is an exploration of reconnecting to one’s roots, oneself, or others. After a period of absence we can either feel like a lot has shifted or nothing has shifted at all, but there will always be a sense of returning to something familiar.
