MOZART IN MOTION
Morrison Center for the Performing Arts
November 4 – 6, 2022
Mozart in Motion is a study of musical mastery; ballet has the thrilling task of bringing some of the world’s most well-known music to physical form. While embodying the music of a genius can be a daunting task, for this opening program of our 50th season we are reveling in the challenge.
Music will be transformed into pure movement as we explore the physical embodiment of the sounds of one of the great composers. Featuring George Balanchine’s Divertimento no. 15 Choreography by George Balanchine © The George Balanchine Trust, Concerto 622 by Lar Lubovitch, Kiss by Stephanie Martinez, and a new work, Seen/Unseen by Artistic Director Garrett Anderson, this evening ranging from the classical to the contemporary will bring the music of Mozart to life in a way you have never experienced before.
