Paige Thomas

Ballet Idaho Patron Services Manager

About:

Paige has been biking around the North End of Boise ever since she could pedal and attended all Boise schools in the area up to Boise State University. With a slight break to give birth Paige went on to work for Boise Public library for 6 years.  While helping anyone who came through the door Paige also provided after school programming, story times and created a program designed to spread kindness to strangers throughout Boise. She reads, runs and tries her best to attend as many concerts as possible.

Why did you join the Ballet Idaho family?

When she accepted this position, she had never seen dance performed live, so her brain, heart and soul were an empty slate to the artform. By the end of her first day she had been moved to tears by watching the rehearsal of Ballet Idaho’s Artistic Associate, Anne Mueller’s choreography for the upcoming New Dance. As fate would have it, the theme was a memory Anne had of reading a children’s picture book.  She has always been drawn to non-profit organizations and jumped on the opportunity to work with such talent that shares such beauty with the community.

If we were to dance to any song, which one would you choose?

Season Song by Elephant Revival because this is the last song I heard performed live with two of my favorite men in the world.  I think combining the memory of their love with the raw emotion dance evokes, I might cry all of the happiest tears and that there are healing powers in those emotions and tears.
