Oscar Miller

Oscar is originally from Leawood, Kansas. He trained at the Kansas City Ballet School for fifteen years and danced as a member of the Kansas City Ballet Second Company for one year. While with Kansas City Ballet, he performed in pieces such as Devon Carney’s The Nutcracker, Michael Pink’s Dracula, and Septime Webre’s The Wizard frotof Oz.

Oscar then attended the University of Oklahoma School of Dance and graduated magna cum laude with a B.F.A. in Ballet Performance. While studying at OU, Oscar performed in Mary Margaret Holt’s The Nutcracker as Sugar Plum Fairy Cavalier, Snow King, and Dewdrop Cavalier, Rena Butler’s Tsela, Glenn Edgerton’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Jiří Kylián’s Whereabouts Unknown, William Forsythe’s Berio Suite, and Glenn Edgerton’s Another Doodle. During his time in Oklahoma, Oscar also danced as a member of the Oklahoma City Ballet Second Company, performing in Devon Carney’ Romeo and Juliet as well as Ryan Jolicoeur-Nye’s Giselle and Swan Lake.

Oscar has also performed as a featured guest artist in The Nutcracker at several organizations across the country, such as Ballet Tech of Ohio, Ballet Conservatory of Asheville, and Western Arkansas Ballet.

This will be Oscar’s first season with Ballet Idaho.
