Health Update for all Ballet Idaho Academy Students

Dear Ballet Idaho Families,

I am so glad we have been able to stay connected over the past several weeks. While we are all observing shelter in place, we have had great success with connecting students and instructors through our Zoom classes and other online offerings. We will continue with this virtual programming through May, as we look forward to being together again in the near future. We appreciate your patience as we continue to monitor the COVID – 19 virus and follow the recommendations laid out by the CDC, state and local health officials and the City of Boise leadership.

Understandably, we face some uncertainty as we plan for the summer. We are excited to offer a full program ranging from camps and ballet courses for our younger students to maintenance classes, adult classes and workshops for our older students; however, we will proceed with caution and evaluate the timing and protocol utilized in the opening of other community exercise programs and sport facilities. Under these guidelines, we will offer classes in our studios only if it is deemed safe to do so.

In light of this uncertainty, we have decided to not require payments until we officially re-open, however, you may still register online or over the phone at any time. In order to help us anticipate enrollment, we are asking for an email indicating an ‘intent to register’ with the student’s name and desired program. If you have already registered and paid for a summer program, we will be in contact with you if the program does not run. We are considering some modified summer options as well, such as a delayed opening with all June programs moving to July.

The health and safety of our students, BIA instructors and staff is our top priority.  As we monitor the coronavirus, we will communicate any updates through email and on our website. You may also contact us if you have any questions. Thank you for your continued support, patience and understanding. We look forward to seeing all of you again in our studios! Until then, be well and  keep dancing!

Our best,

BIA Academy
