Sydnie Holmes

Sydnie Holmes began her dance training in California, studying ballet, tap, and jazz. She joined Boston Ballet School’s Professional Division in 2018 under the direction of Margaret Tracey and was selected to join Boston Ballet School’s Graduate Program in 2023. She joined Ballet Idaho as a Trainee in 2024 and was promoted to Apprentice in 2026.

Sydnie has performed works by Sir Frederick Ashton, Marius Petipa, Mikko Nissinen, Anne Mueller, Garrett Anderson, Penny Saunders, and Kara Wilkes, as well as works by principals Jonathan Harris and Ashley Baker. She has choreographed original works for National Ballet School of Canada’s Assemblée, MOBBallet’s Pathways to Performance, numerous Student Choreographic Projects, and locally, Project Flux’s Perspectives. She currently teaches at the Ballet Idaho Academy while continuing her performance and choreographic work.

This is Sydnie’s first season with Ballet Idaho.
