Summer Programs

Ballet Idaho Academy offers an array of summer programs for students of all ages. We have a July summer intensive for intermediate through pre- professional, with housing available. Other programs include maintenance classes, programs for youth, and park camps for our children’s division students. Don’t forget to sign up early and take advantage of our Early Bird Specials.

Summer Intensive 2026

Intermediate & Advanced Students

Join us at Ballet Idaho for our extraordinary 2026 Summer Intensive!

This vibrant program invites aspiring dancers aged 11 to 22, levels intermediate through advanced, to immerse themselves in a transformative four-week journey. Our curriculum focuses on Ballet, Pointe, Variations, and Men’s Class, while offering supplementary classes in Pas de Deux, Pilates, Contemporary, Jazz, and more! Our exceptional faculty, features Ballet Idaho company dancers and artistic staff, as well as renowned local and national choreographers.

Unique to our Intensive is the “Company Experience,” taking place in the 3rd and 4th weeks. Replicating a day in the life of a professional dancer, each day students will work closely with Ballet Idaho company members and artistic staff as they delve into Ballet Idaho Repertory. An informal showcase will take place on Friday, July 24, highlighting student accomplishments and creativity. Our full schedule will be both rigorous and rewarding as dancers cultivate technique, strength, and versatility – all while making memories that last a lifetime. We hope you join us in the City of Trees in July, 2026.

Accommodations:

In collaboration with Boise State University (BSU), students may reside on BSU’s beautiful campus (just a 15-minute walk to our studios), and enjoy their dining services for breakfast and dinner. Chaperones will be provided for young students in the dorms and will accompany them to and from the studios. With an array of close-by restaurants and cafes in downtown Boise, students will be responsible for their lunches.

Advanced Tuition:

2 weeks: $1,250.00

Upper Division Maintenance
Levels: Intermediate 1+

Join us for the perfect maintenance class schedule
designed to keep you strong, inspired, and
performance-ready all summer long. It’s an excellent
way to stay in shape, have fun, and confidently
prepare for whatever lies ahead — whether that’s the
2026–27 competition season, summer intensives, or
any exciting opportunities on your horizon.

Dates: June 15-19 and June 22-26

Ballet

Pointe/Classical Variations/Contemporary
Time: 11:45-1:15

Pointe Workshop

Levels: Intermediate 1+
This focused workshop is designed for dancers newly
approved to begin pointe work, as well as beginners
looking to strengthen and refine their skills.
Throughout the week, students will build proper
technique, alignment, and confidence in a supportive
environment. A special highlight includes a dedicated
day for learning pointe shoe sewing and preparation,
giving dancers the tools they need to feel comfortable
and ready to dance en pointe!

Dates: June 15-19, June 22-26, August 3-8 (until 2:00
p.m.)

Cost: $225/week
Location: Studio 4, B, 3 & 2

Lower Division Summer Intensive
Levels: Ballet 1-4

This exciting dance camp is the perfect introduction to
summer intensives and a wonderful stepping stone for
dancers hoping to participate in the Intermediate and
Advanced Intensives in the years to come. Dancers
will experience a dynamic mix of classes designed to
prepare them for future opportunities, including the
Competition Team and Youth Company. The schedule
features ballet technique, pre-pointe, classical
variations (where students learn competition-style
dances), jazz, contemporary, and other fun styles.
Throughout the week, students will build strength,
increase flexibility, and grow in confidence—all while
forming new friendships and creating lasting
memories.

Children’s Story Ballet Camp
Ages: 3-9

Young dancers will leap into the magical worlds of
beloved story ballets in our fun-filled half-day summer
camps! Designed for children ages 3–9, each day
brings dance to life through imaginative storytelling,
lively music, expressive mime, and creative arts and
crafts. Dancers will enjoy cheerful snack breaks
together on the ESPAA outdoor patio. The week
concludes with a delightful, enchanting showcase
where family and friends are invited to celebrate all
the joy, creativity, and confidence your dancer has
discovered!
