Ballet Idaho Company Dancer
Cydney is originally from Pensacola, Florida where she trained for 13 years before moving to Boise and joining the Ballet Idaho Academy as a pre-professional division student. She attended summer programs at the School of American Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet before working as a summer apprentice for the James Sewell Ballet in Minneapolis.
In 2016 she became an apprentice with Ballet Idaho, where she danced in Peter Anastos’ The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, Peter Pan, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Ravel Piano Concerto, and Swan Lake. She has also performed in George Balanchine’s Concerto Barocco and Agon. Additionally, she has performed in several of fellow dancer and choreographer Daniel Ojeda’s works, such as The Monster and the Gift, Together, Regular Divisions of a Year, and A Great, Unbridgeable Distance. She recently choreographed a work for Ballet Idaho’s NewDance: Inside View. She also performs with Boise-based contemporary companies LED and Project Flux, directed by Lauren Edson and Lydia Sakolsky-Basquill respectively.
This is her fourth season with Ballet Idaho.
