About:

John began his dance training with Atlanta Ballet and went on to graduate from the Ballet West Academy. He became a charter member of Ballet West II under Jonas Kage and Peter Christie. He was invited to join Ballet West under Pamela Robinson-Harris, and later, Adam Sklute. At Ballet West he regularly performed characters and danced corps and soloist roles by world renowned choreographers, including Sir Frederick Ashton, Glen Tetley, and Twyla Tharp. He then joined Ballet Idaho under Peter Anastos and danced in Boise for 5 seasons before joining Ballet San Antonio, under the direction of Willy Shives.

In 2017, John was invited back to Ballet Idaho to reprise one of his favorite roles as Captain Hook. Other favorite roles include the Agon pas de deux, Flower Festival, and Stepsister for both Peter Anastos’ and Ben Stevenson’s iterations of Cinderella. At Ballet Idaho he originated the roles of Romeo in Romeo and Juliet, and Don Jose in Carmen. He has also performed with Company C, Boulder Ballet, Nevada Ballet Theatere, Symbiosis, and Neos Dance Theatere.

This is his ninth season with Ballet Idaho.
