Cameron Pelton
Company Artist

Cameron is originally from Baltimore, Maryland. In 2012, he began his dance training through the Estelle Dennis Scholarship at Peabody Preparatory and during his high school years continued to train with Norma Pera and the incredible teachers of the Baltimore School for the Arts. During this time he spent his summers receiving vigorous training from the School of American Ballet, Boston Ballet, and Pacific Northwest Ballet. After graduating high school, he attended Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music where he trained with a master faculty led by Sarah Wroth. While at Indiana he developed a strong appreciation for music theory, exercise science, and the technical requirements of stagecraft. He acquired a Bachelor of Science in Ballet with high distinction.
In 2021, he accepted a contract with Oregon Ballet Theatre, and began dancing professionally. During his time with Oregon Ballet Theatre, he is most grateful for his performances of Gurn in La Sylphide, as taught by Frank Anderson and Eva Kloberg. He has also expressed works by creative talents such as Trey McIntyre, Dani Rowe, Christopher Stowell, Hélène Simoneau, and Makino Hayashi.

This is Cameron’s first season with Ballet Idaho.
