A native of Walden, Vermont, Cyrus studied at the School of Ballet Chicago under the direction of Daniel Duell and Patricia Blair. He danced for the Ballet Chicago Studio Company; in George Balanchine’s Rubies, Grand Pas in The Nutcracker, and Waltz Boy in George Balanchine’s Serenade.
Since joining Ballet Idaho, he has been able to perform a wide range of works including Lickety Split and Extremely Close by Alejandro Cerrudo, Dreamland by Danielle Rowe, Walking Mad by Johan Inger, and Grey Horses by Robyn Mineko Williams. With previous companies he has had the opportunity to perform the Embraceable You pas de deux from George Balanchine’s Who Cares? and in Salvatore Aiello’s Clowns and Others.
This is Cyrus’ ninth season with Ballet Idaho.
