Flynn, originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico, began her training at Aspen Santa Fe Ballet School. She continued to train there while also attending New Mexico School for the Arts, where she first worked with Garrett Anderson, then director of New Mexico School of the Arts’ dance program. Flynn supplemented her training by attending summer intensives at Pacific Northwest Ballet, School of American Ballet, San Francisco Ballet and Ballet West among others. After high school, she joined Ballet Idaho’s trainee program where she gained opportunities to perform premiere works by choreographers such as FLOCK, Lauren Edson, Quinn Wharton, and Nell Josephine, and she performed in George Balanchine’s Valse Fantasie.
Flynn was promoted to apprentice in 2021, and has had the pleasure of performing works such as George Balanchine’s Serenade, Danielle Rowe’s Dreamland, Peter Anastos’ The Nutcracker, Bruce Wells’ Beauty and the Beast, and Anne Mueller and Garrett Anderson’s Congruence with the company. Additionally, Flynn and collaborator Amy Novak, had their choreographic debut in 2024 with their work Supercut, presented by Ballet Spartanburg.
This is Flynn’s third season with Ballet Idaho.
