Lelo was part of Ballet Idaho for three seasons, having enjoyed featured roles in The Nutcracker, Lar Lubovitch’s Concerto 622 and Anne Mueller’s Peter and the Wolf.

Lelo joined Mauro Ballet in Puerto Rico as a semi-soloist for the 2023-2024 season. There, they performed lead roles in Mauro’s Experimental, Romeo and Juliet, and Mauro’s Cascanueces y la Venganza del Rey Ratón. Lelo was also invited to be a guest artist in the Ana Isabel Concert. Afterwards, they joined Terpsicorps Dance Theater in Asheville, NC where they danced the debut of Staying on Freedom by Heather Maloy, as a female presenting pointe dancer, being the first gender-inclusive performer at Terpsicorps. Lelo also performed the new creation of Before the Scream and the re-staging of Second Line.

While in Puerto Rico, Lelo stayed connected to Ballet Idaho as a guest artist performing with Ballet Idaho’s The Nutcracker. Lelo now rejoins Ballet Idaho as a company artist, being the only Afro-Puertorrican and openly transfeminine dancer in the company.

This will be Lelo’s fourth season with the Ballet Idaho.
