Adrienne began ballet in Albuquerque with Karen Alwin and Deanna Encinias. In Youth America Grand Prix competition, she placed in the top 12. There, she received multiple bronze honors in the solo classical and contemporary categories of semi-finals in Denver and Dallas and performed in the national finals in New York City. The youngest student in Boston Ballet’s Summer Dance Program, Adrienne has also received scholarships to the summer programs of Kansas City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Ballet Chicago, Ballet West, and Alonzo King LINES Ballet.
At age 14, Adrienne was invited to train at Pacific Northwest Ballet School on full scholarship and made her professional debut in the Chinese quintet of Stowell/Sendak’s The Nutcracker nine months later. She joined Ballet Idaho at age 17 as a trainee and has since originated corps, solo, and principal roles for Alex Ossadnik, Peter Anastos, and guest choreographers. In 2012, Adrienne was a Princess Grace Foundation Dance Performance Award nominee.
Adrienne’s repertoire includes classic works as well as others by George Balanchine, Twyla Tharp, Marius Petipa, and Bruce Wells. In addition to her study of principal roles in Giselle, The Sleeping Beauty, and Don Quixote with Gelsey Kirkland in New York City, Adrienne has danced the title role in Firebird, as well as the principal roles of Kitri in Don Quixote, Odile in Swan Lake, Snow Queen and Dewdrop Fairy in The Nutcracker, Tall Girl in Rubies, and Hippolyta in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Since her promotion to principal dancer for Ballet Idaho’s 2015/16 season, Adrienne has been recognized for her performances as Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, leads in Ravel Concerto and Nine Sinatra Songs, and Carabosse in Sleeping Beauty.
Adrienne has also performed locally with Project Flux, Boise Dance Co-op, and is a requested teacher in ballet and jazz. She has taught for Classical Youth Ballet in Tacoma, Sun Valley Ballet, Boise State University, Ballet Idaho Academy, as well as for select advanced private students.
